New Delhi. Yoga was earlier confined to India only. Then from the year 2015, International Yoga Day started being celebrated on 21st June. With this, the world is now getting addicted to yoga. Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Sansthan (SVYASA) of Bangalore did research on this and found that the treatment of all diseases can be done only by yoga instead of expensive medicines.

The body becomes active with Kapal Bhati. Sheetali provides relief in respiratory diseases. Whereas, pranayama reduces hypertension and increases memory and focus ability.

In AIIMS research, it was found that even in type-2 diabetes, yoga is beneficial and many patients do not even take medicine after this.
