Moong dal khichdi is one such light food, which is not only prepared quickly but is also full of nutritious elements.
Ingredients for making Moong Dal Khichdi-
a cup of rice
one cup moong dal
finely chopped 2 green chilies
tsp turmeric powder
a pinch of ground asafoetida
a teaspoon cumin
salt to taste
Ghee
Method to make Moong Dal Khichdi-
Wash and clean moong dal and rice. Heat ghee in a cooker or vessel on flame. Now add cumin seeds in ghee. Then add green chilies, turmeric and asafoetida and cook on medium flame for a minute. After this, mix lentils and rice in a cooker or vessel and mix. Then put three cups of water and salt in it and close the lid. Switch off the flame after three whistles in the cooker. If cooking in another vessel, add 4 cups of water and cover and cook for 20-25 minutes. When the pressure of the cooker is released, then open the lid. Now Moong Dal Khichdi is ready. If you keep a little more water in it, then the khichdi will become thin. Serve it with curd, your digestion will also be fine.
