Kalakand Recipe for Maa Shailputri Bhog: The importance of Navratri fasting has been told in Hinduism. The nine days of Navratri are very special for those who worship Maa Adishakti. This time Navratri fasts will be kept from today i.e. from 2nd April to 11th April 2022 till Monday. Just as on every day of Navratri, nine different forms of Maa Durga are worshiped as Shailputri, Brahmacharini Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and on the ninth day Maa Siddhidatri is worshipped. In the same way, on every day of Navratri, different things are offered to each mother in Prasad. On the first day of Navratri i.e. today the form of Maa Shailputri is worshipped. It is said that on this day the mother should offer cow’s ghee. By doing this one gets freedom from disease and every crisis. In such a situation, let us know how to make Kalakand’s prasad at home to offer Bhog to Maa Shailputri.
Ingredients required for making Kalakand-
– Paneer – 1½ cups grated
-condensed milk – 3/4 cup
Green cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
– Ghee – for plating
– finely chopped pistachios – for garnishing
Method of making fondant-
To make fondant, grate the cheese or grind it coarsely in a mixer.
Now take a small deep plate and apply ghee in it.
On the other hand, add condensed milk and grated paneer in a pan and mix it well.
Cook this mixture on low flame, stirring it with a spoon, till it becomes thick.
Cook this mixture for about 4-7 minutes until it starts sticking to the sides of the pan.
Now add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder and mix it well.
Now take off the pan from the gas and put finely chopped pistachios in it and press lightly with a spoon.
Now keep the prepared fondant at room temperature to cool down.
After this keep it in the fridge for 2 hours to set.
When it cools down, take it out of the fridge, cut it into small square pieces and offer it.
