Ingredients for making curd chicken-
1/2 kg chicken
3 cloves
1 big cardamom
4 green cardamoms
6-7 black pepper
1 cup curd
3 onions (chopped)
1 inch piece of ginger
7-8 cloves of garlic
5-6 cashew nuts
5-6 almonds
2 tsp khus-khus
2 pieces cinnamon
2 tsp red chili powder
How to make Curd Chicken –
Take curd in a bowl. Now add one teaspoon red chili powder, turmeric, half teaspoon garam masala, half teaspoon coriander powder and salt and beat it well. Now add chicken pieces to this mixture. Leave the curd chicken to marinate for 2-3 hours. Now put ghee in a pan for heating. When the oil becomes hot, add chicken pieces and fry them. Now keep it on the side. Keep the oil for heating. Now add onion and fry it till it turns golden brown. Now grind the fried onions in a mixer and prepare a paste. Then make a paste of garlic, ginger, large and green cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and cloves in the mixer. After this, grind poppy seeds, almonds and cashews in a grinder.
Now put oil in a pan to heat. Add garlic-ginger paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add onion paste and curd to the spices and cook for 10 minutes. Now add poppy seeds paste to the gravy. Now add fried chicken to the gravy and mix. Cover the chicken with 2 cups of water and let it cook for 10 minutes. When the chicken is cooked, turn off the gas and serve it by adding coriander to it.
