It is important for nails to be strong and healthy. The condition of nails reflects the quality of tissue production in the body, as Ayurveda considers nails to be a waste product of bones. Eating improper food can lead to nail disorders such as flaking or cracking of the ends of the nails, ridges on the nails and discoloration of the nails. Ayurveda recommends healthy food items to promote healthy nails. For this, include the following things in your diet.
Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach leaves
– milk items
– Dry Fruits
– Sesame seeds
– Sunflower seeds
Apart from this, cream can be used for beautiful nails. To soften the skin on your hands and nourish your nails, rub a nail cream made of almond oil and honey on them and leave it overnight. You can also make nail cream from avocado. Take one spoon of avocado pulp, egg yolk and honey. Add a pinch of salt. Mix everything until a smooth cream is formed. Massage a small amount of this cream on the cuticles and surrounding skin. Wash off after half an hour. It is best to use these creams before bedtime as the hands are not exposed to water or soap overnight.
Here are some more Ayurvedic nail tips for healthy, strong and most beautiful nails:
Massage with olive oil in slow and gentle strokes to keep nails and cuticles shiny and strong. Alternatively use mustard oil.
To remove stains on nails, soak them in a mixture of 1 tablespoon lemon juice and a cup of water for a few minutes.
Moisturizing the cuticles will prevent cracking and peeling. Always wear gloves when cleaning, gardening, and doing dishes or laundry.
Apply sunscreen to your hands and cuticles during the day to protect your nails from sun damage.
Any protruding part of the nail should always be neatly cut and under no circumstances should it be pulled.
If you have to use nail polish remover, buy one that contains moisturizing oils like aloe vera and lavender. These oils neutralize the drying effect caused by acetone.
