Lucknow, September 1 (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Examination was conducted successfully on Saturday. From manpower to advanced technology was used to conduct the examination. Such tight security arrangements were made inside and outside the examination centre that cheaters and solver gangs kept away from the examination.
UP Police kept a close watch on everything from WhatsApp to social media. Intelligence agencies were kept on alert mode 24 hours a day so that nothing goes wrong. More than 32 lakh candidates appeared in this exam which was held for five days in two phases.
To ensure that the candidates do not face any inconvenience, 2300 magistrates and 1,97,859 policemen were deployed. CCTV cameras equipped with artificial intelligence were also used.
To ensure smooth conduct of the examination, CCTV cameras were installed in 16,440 rooms of 1174 centres, which were equipped with artificial intelligence. Due to this, information about the activities of every examination room, such as absence of the invigilator, etc., kept reaching the board’s control room in real time.
To ensure smooth conduct of the police recruitment exam, 1,97,859 policemen and two companies were deployed. 25 companies of PAC and 8 companies of CAPF were deployed.
At the same time, 137 Additional Superintendents of Police, 522 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 47,587 Head Constables, 86,844 Constables and 26,582 Women Constables were deployed. Apart from this, 3876 Inspectors were also deployed, which includes 3740 male and 136 female Inspectors.
Along with this, 32,311 sub-inspectors were deployed. This includes 30,220 male and 2091 female sub-inspectors. 74 police officers were deployed as observers at the examination centers.
Technology was used to make the examination transparent and to admit the right candidates. For this, proper arrangements were made for checking, frisking and supervision of the candidates at the examination centre. Candidates were admitted only after physical frisking at the centre, frisking by HHMD, biometric finger print and facial recognition.
Arrangements were also made to capture FRIS in case of no facial recognition. Rajeev Krishna, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), said that various administrative and police officers and staff were deployed for the examination. At the district level, the District Magistrate was deployed as the District Supervisor (Magistrate).
Apart from this, the Additional District Magistrate was appointed as Assistant Nodal Officer (Administration), while a Sector Magistrate was deployed at three examination centres.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the candidates on the successful completion of the UP Police Recruitment Examination.
He wrote on his social media account X, “Hearty congratulations to all the candidates for the fair, transparent and peaceful completion of the written examination-2023 conducted for the selection of more than 60,200 posts of constable civil police! May all the energetic and disciplined youth who participated in the examination get the desired results, best wishes for everyone’s future to be bright.”
He further wrote that he is heartily thankful to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board and the district administration of all the districts for their cooperation in successfully and safely conducting the world’s largest civil police recruitment examination.
