Mayawati Reaction on UP By Election Result 2024: The performance of Bahujan Samaj Party, which entered the UP by-election field in the hope of increasing its support base, was disappointing. BJP got 7 seats and SP got two seats. At the same time, BSP could not do anything special in the by-elections. After BSP’s failure to open its account in the by-elections for nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, National President Mayawati has announced that her party will not contest any by-election. The BSP chief said that until the Election Commission does not take any strict decision to stop fake voting. Till then BSP will not contest any by-election.

BSP supremo Mayawati, while addressing the journalists after the results of UP by-elections, said that the voting held this time for the by-elections of nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh and the results that came last Saturday. There is a discussion among the people regarding this that earlier in the country, fake votes were cast by misusing power to win elections through ballot paper. Now fake voting is also being done through EVMs. Which is a matter of great sadness and concern for democracy.

He said that in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the country as well as in the by-elections, fake voting is being done openly. Fake voting has also been seen in the by-elections held for nine assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. A lot of voices are being raised regarding this even in the general elections held in Maharashtra Assembly. This is a big alarm bell for the country and democracy.

The BSP chief further said that in such a situation, our party has now decided that unless the Election Commission takes strict steps to stop fake votes in the country. Till then BSP will not contest any by-election in the country. BSP will contest the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections and local body elections in the country with full preparation.
