Amit shah visit gujarat: Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee at a function held in Anand, Gujarat on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary. During this, he said, “If Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had not been there, Kashmir would never have become an integral part of India. He dedicated his life to the merger of India and raised the slogan of two legislations, two heads and two marks in a country”.

Kashmir’s sacrifice in merger in India

Amit Shah further said that Dr. Mukherjee gave his life while struggling against the special status of Kashmir. It was due to his sacrifice that Kashmir could become an integral part of India today. During this time, he also credited Dr. Mukherjee and Swami Pranavanand for the merger of West Bengal in India. The Union Home Minister also informed that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had raised his voice against the policy of appeasement and that is why he resigned from Jawaharlal Nehru’s cabinet. Dr. Mukherjee laid the foundation of his party with 10 members, which has today become the world’s largest political party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), whose membership has reached 12 crores today.
