Human metapneumovirus i.e. HMPV has knocked in India. Three cases of this have come to light. Two cases have been found in Karnataka, the third case has come to light in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. A two-month-old baby admitted to a private hospital in Ahmedabad has been confirmed infected with HMPV. After which the Gujarat government has come into action. An advisory has been issued by the Gujarat government in this matter.

Seeing the worsening of the situation in the country and across the world, now the Gujarat government has also become completely alert. An advisory has been issued by the Health Department for the people regarding HMPV. This advisory tells what people should do and what they should not do.

What to do to avoid HMPV?

Use a handkerchief while sneezing or coughing. Wash hands regularly with soap and water. Start using sanitizers containing alcohol. Anyone affected by cough and cold should stay away from public places. Drink plenty of water and eat nutritious food. Get enough sleep to strengthen your immune system. Stop shaking hands with others these days. Do not use the same tissue paper or handkerchief again and again. Do not go to crowded places. Do not spit at all in public places. If any kind of infection is seen, do not start the medicine on your own and contact the doctor.

What did the Health Minister say?

State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel visited Vadodara SSG Hospital today. He told that the child who tested positive had come to Ahmedabad for treatment from Dungarpur in Rajasthan. He said that people do not need to panic due to this. The minister said, the state government is fully prepared against this virus. Right now the situation is not as bad as Covid but the state government is fully prepared to work even in the most serious situation. Gujarat also has full quantity of hospitals and those hospitals also have beds. The Health Minister said that the Central Government is also concerned about this matter and people should follow SOP as much as possible.

Rajasthan child undergoing treatment in Gujarat

Let us tell you that the child resident of Dungarpur, Rajasthan was admitted to the hospital in Chandkheda on December 24 due to symptoms of respiratory infection. Bhavin Solanki, medical officer in-charge of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, said that after investigation he was found infected with HMPV. Solanki said, “The patient was confirmed infected with HMPV on December 26, but we got to know about it today because the private hospital informed us late.” The officer said that the patient was kept in isolation. Is. Earlier the child was kept on ventilator and now his condition is stable.
