Road accident
A local municipal bus hit several vehicles and pedestrians on a traffic signal in Rajkot city of Gujarat on Wednesday morning, killing 3 people and injuring two others. In the CCTV footage, the electric bus was seen hitting the busy traffic signal, hitting other vehicles including two -wheelers and cars.
DCP Jagdish Bangarwa said, “An electric city bus operated by Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) hit two-wheeler and four-wheelers as well as pedestrians on a traffic signal, killing three people and injuring two others.”
Angry mob vandalized bus
Inspector Sejal Meghani of Gandhigram Police Station said that the accident occurred at Indira Circle at around 10 am. Angry mob vandalized in a government bus stopped at some distance from the accident site. Officials said the police lathi-charged to disperse the mob. He said that the bus driver has been taken into custody and the investigation is on. (With language inputs)
