During the Haryana assembly elections, the claim for the post of Chief Minister is increasing among BJP leaders. Senior leader and former minister Anil Vij said that if the party returns to power after the elections, he will stake claim for the post of Chief Minister. However, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made it clear that Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is the face of the BJP for the post of Chief Minister. He said on Sunday that the party will make a hat-trick of victory in the state under his leadership.
When asked about Anil Vij’s remarks, BJP in-charge for Haryana elections Pradhan responded to reporters in Karnal. He said, ‘Being a party worker, he must have said so, but Nayab Singh Saini is the face of BJP for the post of Chief Minister.’ He said that BJP is fighting the assembly elections in Haryana under the leadership of Saini, a popular leader of the state. He said that BJP will make a hat-trick by winning the Haryana assembly elections.
Saini was made CM in place of Khattar
Dharmendra Pradhan said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks on reservation will be a political issue in the Haryana assembly elections. He claimed, ‘A few days ago, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had said that when his party comes to power, it will end reservation. This is nothing new. His statement reflects the mental state of the Congress.’ It is worth noting that Saini was made CM in March in place of Manohar Lal Khattar. Voting for Haryana’s 90 assembly seats will be held on October 5 and counting of votes will be held on October 8.

Anil Vij had said that if the party returns to power after the assembly elections, he will stake claim for the post of Chief Minister. Even before this comment of 6-time MLA Vij, the BJP had already made it clear that if it returns to power, Nayab Singh Saini will be the Chief Minister.
