The World Badminton Federation (BWF) has banned players and officials from Russia and Belarus from participating in any BWF-affiliated tournaments for attacking Ukraine. After this decision of BWF, Russian players will no longer be able to participate in any badminton tournament till further orders.
The BWF said it took the decision based on the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which called for the suspension of Russian and Belarusian players from international tournaments following the Russian attack on Ukraine.

“After consultation with international partners, the World Badminton Federation has clarified its position regarding Russia’s military offensive on Ukraine,” the BWF said in a statement. The BWF has decided not to allow players and officials from Russia and Belarus to participate in any BWF-approved international tournaments until further orders.
