“As this is their team’s first offense of the season related to the minimum over-rate offense under the IPL Code of Conduct,” a statement issued by the IPL said. In view of this, Rohit has been fined Rs 12 lakh as captain. The special thing here is that Rohit Sharma was fined 12 lakhs after the match against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021 too. That was the reason in that match as well.

Chasing a target of 178 runs, Delhi Capitals scored 179 for 6 in 18.2 overs. Lalit played an unbeaten knock of 48 runs in 38 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes.
