In a horrific incident in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, a six from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batsman Aayush Badoni hit a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) female fan on the head. This happened on Thursday, March 31, 2022, during the second innings of the match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Ayush Badoni came to the crease after Deepak Hooda was dismissed on the second ball of the 18th over and the incident happened on the first ball of the 19th over.
Lucknow needed 34 runs in the last two overs. Chennai captain Ravindra Jadeja handed the ball to medium pacer Shivam Dubey to bowl the 19th over. The youngster showed incredible balance on the very first ball of Shivam Dubey. Aayush takes a knee on Shivam’s wide yorker and hits a superb lofted sweep. This shot of Ayush fell in the audience gallery outside the boundary 85 meters away.
Unfortunately, the ball hit a female fan on the head. The female fan, however, tried to save herself by holding the ball by her hand, but she did not succeed and the ball hit her head. Later, when the camera caught his eye, his mood seemed fine. Some of his friends were also seen with him. However, she seemed to be in some pain. IPL 2022 Talking about the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja’s team scored 210 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and went to bat after losing the toss. Chasing the target, KL Rahul’s team scored 211 runs for 4 wickets in 19.3 overs and won the match.
