Korea Open 2022: Indian female badminton player PV Sindhu crashed out of the competition after losing in the semi-finals of the Korea Open Super 500 badminton tournament. Sindhu had to face defeat against second seed Korean player An Se-young. The Indian players lost the match in 49 minutes.
The Korean player defeated third seed Sindhu 21-14 21-17. World No 7 Sindhu has suffered a fourth consecutive defeat in her career against World No 4 Seyang. After Sindhu’s defeat, Kidambi Srikanth is now the only Indian challenger left in the tournament.
PV Sindhu’s 17th win over Busanan Ongbamrungphan
Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, had earlier registered her 17th win over Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan 21-10 21-16 in the quarterfinals. It was Sindhu’s 17th consecutive win against Busanan.
