Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan created history on 7 May in a knockout match of the Ranji Trophy 2021-22. Sarfaraz Khan, who was a part of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, achieved a feat that no one had been able to do before in the 87-year history of the prestigious domestic tournament. Sarfaraz Khan scored 153 runs in 205 balls with the help of 14 fours and 4 sixes in the second quarter final of Ranji Trophy 2021-22 against Uttarakhand.
Born on 22 October 1997 in Mumbai, this is Sarfaraz Khan’s 7th century in the Ranji Trophy. Sarfaraz has scored over 150 in all in his first seven centuries. He is the first batsman to achieve this feat in Ranji Trophy. In the second quarter final match of Ranji Trophy 2021-22, Mumbai scored 598 for 6 in 158 overs till tea time on the second day on the basis of centuries by Sarfaraz Khan and Suved Parkar. Suved Parkar was at the crease after scoring 224 runs in 421 balls with the help of 19 fours and 3 sixes.
