Financial assistance was provided to these companies in the form of loans.
Robin Uthappa breaks silence on fraud case
Recently a serious matter has come to light regarding Robin Uthappa. Robin has been accused of fraud in PF contribution. This case pertains to Rs 23.36 lakh, which has not been deposited in the accounts of the employees. After which now Robin Uthappa has presented his clarification on this.
Robin Uthappa shared the post and wrote, ‘On the recent news of PF case against me, I would like to give some clarification regarding my partnership with Strawberry Lanseria Pvt Ltd, Centaurus Lifestyle Brands Pvt Ltd and Berries Fashion House. In the year 2018-19 I was appointed as a director in these companies due to my financial contribution in the form of lawn.
Robin Uthappa further said that, however, I did not have any active executive role nor was I involved in the daily routine operations of the business. Being a cricketer, given my busy schedule as a TV presenter and commentator, I neither had the time nor the expertise to participate in their operations. In fact, I do not hold an executive role in any of the other companies I have lent to to date.
Uthappa further wrote that, but regrettably, these companies could not return the money lent to me, due to which I had to initiate legal proceedings, which is currently pending in the court. So much so that I even resigned from my directorship many years ago. In such a situation, I have no role in these companies. Therefore, I would also like to request the media to please present the complete truth and also confirm the authenticity of the information being shared.
