In an interview given to our associate website ‘ETimes’, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Pranali Rathod said – Before coming to this industry, I only gave auditions because I only knew where the auditions were. But I could not travel alone for auditions. I was young at that time. I used to go with my mother. I used to go from one place to another in the hot sun. I did this for a whole year.
The system faced rejections
Pranali further said – There came a time when I just kept getting rejected. I was very demotivated by this. But my family taught me never to give up because of rejections. Have to learn from him. I need to work on myself. And those rejections have to be taken positively. If you want to become an actress. I say thank you to my mother, father and the whole family because it is because of them that I have come this far today.
Pranali wanted to become an actor
Pranali further told on the dream of becoming an actress – I wanted to become an actor since childhood. I had the acting bug inside me. I grew up watching films and used to participate in dance, drama during my school days. Also did theater in college. Although my father wanted me to complete my graduation first. He wanted me to complete my studies first and only then choose my other career. Then I did Bachelor of Mass Media course. In the first year I paid full attention to it but in the second year I started giving auditions. My family was very supportive and I am very thankful for that.
Pranala Rathod became step mother
Pranali Rathore played the role of a step mother in Kyun Uthe Dil Chhod Aaya. After this she is romancing on screen with Harshad Chopra who is 13 years older than her. He gave credit to his co-stars for their chemistry and bonding. She says- All this comes very naturally and I am extrovert by nature, so I like to talk to people, befriend new people. And there are nice people on the sets, all nice people. It is fun working with them, so connections are automatically made.

Pranali Rathod became Akshara
Pranali said that she has done many wonderful roles without being typecast. She says- I have no regrets in all the roles I have done in my career. I have come so far from those roles only. I have learned something or the other from all the characters. Today I am able to play the character of Akshara. I have different feelings about different characters.
