YouTuber and actor Bhuvan Bam is quite popular on social media. Recently, there was a controversy regarding one of his videos. He made derogatory remarks about women. When the matter escalated, the National Commission for Women took cognizance of it, after which Bhuvan Bam apologized. He said in a tweet that the controversial part has been removed by editing the video. Bhuvan said, he respects women and had no such intention. He posted a video on his YouTube channel last week, after which he was heavily criticized on social media. The video was uploaded under the name ‘Automatic Vehicle’, which has been viewed by more than 1 crore 24 lakh people so far.
In the video, Bhuvan Bam had said double meanings about hill women. The National Commission for Women tweeted and requested Delhi Police to register an FIR against the comedian.

Bhuvan Bam wrote, ‘I came to know that some people have been hurt by a part of my video. I have edited to remove that part. Those who know me know that I have great respect for women. I had no intention of hurting anyone. I sincerely apologize to those whose sentiments have been hurt. The 4 second part referring to Pahari women has now been removed.

Earlier on Wednesday, writer and screenwriter Advaita Kala shared the video and criticized it and wrote- ‘This is not humour. It is obscene and against women in which women especially hill women have been objectified.
