World No. 1 female tennis player Ashleigh Barty has decided to retire from professional tennis at the age of 25. Australia’s Ashleigh Barty has won three major Grand Slam titles in the last three years. He has won the French Open in 2019, Wimbledon in 2021 and the Australian Open in 2022. Ashleigh Barty announced her retirement on Wednesday through a video on social media.
She said in the emotional video, ‘I didn’t know how I would do this… It’s very difficult to say. I am very happy and I am ready for it.
Ashleigh Barty said, ‘All I know is that my heart knows at this point in time that this is the right decision for me. I am very grateful for everything tennis has given me. But I know it is the right time to retire and pursue more dreams. The video has been shared from the official Instagram handle of Ashleigh Barty. Sharing this video, she wrote, ‘Today is a difficult day and full of emotions as I am taking the decision to retire from tennis.
