In today’s era, almost everyone is using the social media platform Facebook. This helps people to stay connected with their friends and acquaintances. However, some negative effects have also come to the fore. Let us tell you that Facebook’s parent company Meta has released a report, in which it has been said that there has been an 82 percent increase in hate posts on Facebook.
A monthly report released by Meta states that there has been an increase of almost 82 percent in hate posts on Facebook. At the same time, there has also been an 86 percent increase in violent and provocative posts on Instagram. Most of the content included in the report is such that the social media platform itself has identified it before being disclosed by the users.
On May 31, a report was released by Meta, according to which in April, Facebook detected 53,200 hate posts. In March its number was 38 thousand 6 hundred. In such a situation, 82 percent more such posts were made in April as compared to March.
The report revealed that Instagram processed 77,000 violent and provocative content in April. This figure was 41,300 in March. This report raises the question whether the use of social media is beneficial as well as making people violent?
Meta reports that we check the number of posts that are shared, such as photos, videos or comments. If it is against our standards then we act on it. This action may include removing posts from Facebook or Instagram or covering up photos or videos that are uncomfortable for some viewers, with a warning.
New Privacy Policy From 26th July: Meta is going to implement the new privacy policy from 26th July. For this, it has started sending ‘notifications’ to its users. Let us tell you that Meta has given information about the new privacy policy a few days ago. In a blog, Meta reported that it is updating its terms of service as well. “The new Meta Privacy Policy covers Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and other Meta products,” Meta said.
