UIDAI, the issuing body of the Aadhar card, has alerted the Aadhar card holders to be careful if you share the photocopy of Aadhar card with anyone, as your Aadhar can be misused. While issuing an alert, the government has said that only people should share the mask base.

It has been said from the government that if you carelessly share the photo copy of the Aadhar card with any organization, then you should avoid it, because your Aadhaar can be misused. For this reason only use mask base.

According to UIDAI “Mask Aadhaar option allows you to hide your Aadhaar number in your downloaded e-Aadhaar. Mask Aadhaar Number means the first 8 digits of the Aadhaar number are written as “xxxx-xxxx” whereas only the last 4 digits of the Aadhaar number are shown.
Where to download mask aadhar card
Mask Aadhaar is a physical copy of your Aadhaar, which can be used online or offline, it can be used anywhere in India at any time. Mask Aadhaar can be downloaded by visiting the UIDAI website and selecting the myaadhaar option.
Do not use cafe to download Aadhaar
UIDAI has also warned citizens that they should never use internet cafes or other’s mobiles or gadgets and public computers to download e-Aadhaar. However, if you do so at the time of need, delete the copy of your Aadhaar from all the places. Also remove the aadhar related history.
Download Aadhaar from UIDAI licensed locations
UIDAI asks to do Aadhaar related work only in those entities which have license issued by UIDAI and can use Aadhaar to authenticate the identity of an individual to download e-Aadhaar securely. Aadhar related work should not be done with unlicensed private entities.
