A case has been registered at Saraikhwaja police station against 200 supporters including SP candidate from Jaunpur Sadar assembly constituency on Sunday for conducting roadshow without permission. SO Devanand Rajak told that on Sunday, the SP candidate of Sadar Vidhan Sabha Arshad Khan was taking out a procession without permission.
His convoy reached Jangipur Khurd via Hariharpur side, which included 20 to 30 four wheelers and two wheelers apart from 200 supporters. Due to this the traffic system was also affected. On being informed, permission was sought for taking out the procession after reaching the spot, but could not present the permission letter. A case has been registered against 200 unknown supporters including SP candidate on this.
Two unidentified people pelted stones on the vehicle of a supporter of an independent candidate near Hauz Trauma Center located in Jaunpur’s Jafrabad area. The front window of the vehicle was damaged as a result. During this fight, one person was injured. Police is investigating after registering a case against two unknown people on the complaint of the victim.
Satyam Singh, an aide of independent candidate Abhishek Singh Sonu of Jaffrabad assembly constituency, was going from Jalalpur to Jaunpur with his friends from Nahora police station Jalalpur. A brick was thrown at the vehicle by two unknown bike riders approaching the Hauz Trauma Center. During this, unknown persons assaulted Satyam Singh.
Supporters were injured in this. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment. SHO Yogendra Pratap Singh said that two unidentified people are being searched. A case has also been registered against him.
