Police action is going on against the agents of Ganja kingpin Pukhraj Chandel, arrested from Tulsipur in the city. On Tuesday, the Kotwali police arrested a woman accused of the gangster’s network, from whom the police recovered five kilograms of two hundred grams of ganja and Rs 1230 in cash. After arresting 40-year-old Rajni Bai Dhimar, a resident of Ganj Chowk, the woman accused, the police have kept her on remand.
Let us inform that the ganja kingpin Pukhraj Chandel was arrested by the police along with 371 kg of ganja along with Rs 12 lakh in cash. The police is constantly questioning him about the agents associated with the business, while the details of his mobile phone are also being searched. The said arrested woman belonged to the network of accused gangster Pukhraj, who used to roam around and sell ganja in a plastic sack illegally.
Kotwali police station in-charge Alexander Kiro said that continuous action is being taken against smuggling of ganja. A team has also been formed for this. He said that on the basis of the statement of the arrested kingpin Pukhraj, informers have been appointed to keep track of the suspects. On the information of the informer, the police team has arrested the woman accused Rajni Bai Dhimar from Ganj Chowk, who was keeping ganja in her house. The police have taken action against the accused woman Rajni Bai under section 20 (b) of NDPS Act.
Bike rammed into a parked truck, two injured

A speeding motorcycle rammed uncontrollably behind the truck parked on the side of the road near Khairagarh’s Carhaitola. Three people were on the bike during the accident, out of which two people have suffered serious injuries. The injured have been referred to Rajnandgaon Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
The incident happened around 4 pm on Tuesday. When 21-year-old Sita Ram Yadav, living in Bhainsatra village, his companions Manthir Yadav and Santosh Yadav had left for their village Bhainsatra after working from Khairagarh. Then his speeding motorcycle got out of control near Carhaitola and entered the rear part of the truck parked on the side of the road. The truck was full of paddy.
Manthir Yadav and Santosh have suffered serious injuries in the incident. The injured were first taken to Khairagarh Civil Hospital by police’s Dial 112 vehicle, where after first aid, both the injured were referred to Rajnandgaon Medical College Hospital by ambulance. The Khairagarh Police has registered a crime on the incident.
