– Women running staff brought Bundelkhand Express from Jhansi to Gwalior
Womans Day 2022: Gwalior.Naiduniya Rep. The train number 11108 Bundelkhand Express, coming from Varanasi to Gwalior, witnessed some change on Tuesday. Although the duty of both male and female railway employees is engaged in this train, but on the occasion of Women’s Day, the command of the train was taken over by the female railway employees. Women employees brought Bundelkhand Express from Veerangana Laxmibai (Jhansi) railway station to Gwalior. Loco pilot Poonam Shakya was handling the control of the engine of the train, while senior assistant loco pilot Bharti Srivastava was present as her colleague. Train manager Shivani Verma took over the task of signaling the train. During this, women ticket checking staff were posted to check the tickets of the passengers. The arrival time of this train at Veerangana Laxmibai Railway Station is scheduled at 5:55 am, but the train reached 18 minutes late. Divisional Railway Manager Ashutosh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Naveen Dixit, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (II) Akhil Shukla, Station Director Neeraj Bhatnagar, Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Singh and other officers were present to receive the train. After this it left 24 minutes late, but this train reached Gwalior on time. In fact, on the occasion of Women’s Day, new experiments are being done by the Railways to encourage women employees. This initiative is also a part of that. Every year Bundelkhand Express is operated in the same way by female employees and brings Veerangana from Laxmibai station to Gwalior. In the same sequence, this year also this train was operated through women employees. On reaching Gwalior station, station director Lalaram Solanki, station manager P. George Thomas along with the officers of the operating department received this train and wished the employees a happy women’s day.
