After presenting it with the special features of Android 12, Google is now preparing to bring Android 13. Whose Developer Preview 2 has been released. Due to which information has been received about many of its special features. As per the preview released, these new features include features like Wallpaper Effects, Media Control and Foreground Manager.
As per a report by GSMArena, Android 13 will bring users the new wallpaper effect ‘Cinematic Wallpaper’ in the developer preview that will allow users to apply effects to their wallpapers. Redesigned media controls are placed between Quick Settings and Notifications. Plus the title gets bigger space and allows the description to fit.
The media output picker has also been designed according to the design language of Android 13. Google has also added an option for users to jump directly to new devices from the menu. Along with this, users are also being given the facility to slow down the wallpaper while using the device. However, such a feature is already being given in some phones of Samsung and Xiaomi.
The Foreground Manager will be located at the bottom of the Quick Settings and Notifications panel. The currently running apps will appear in the Foreground Manager. From there, users will be able to monitor which apps are actively running, as well as the option to stop any of these apps directly from the panel. It will also inform users about apps that are continuously running for more than 20 hours.
Closing an app using the Foreground Services Task Manager would be similar to swiping up apps from the Recent Apps menu instead of forcing apps to close. Apart from these, Android 13 will allow users to transfer media to nearby devices with a single tap.
