Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), has launched ‘COVID Crisis Scholarship Scheme’ to help students who lost their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic. A senior official of CCL said that the scheme is to provide financial assistance to students whose parents have died of COVID-19.
This scheme has been brought to provide financial help to such students coming in the field of CCL. The official said that CCL will provide financial assistance to these students to help them continue their education as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility. Alok Kumar, General Manager, Rajrappa area of CCL said that 150 students coming under operational area would be given a scholarship of Rs 20,000 to 50,000 per annum. Students from families earning less than Rs 8 lakh per annum will be eligible for this scholarship.
