Samsung Galaxy M22, which was launched last year, has started receiving One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12. The update is said to bring the latest custom skin by the South Korean tech giant along with the April 2022 security patch. The Android 12 update for the Samsung Galaxy M-series phones comes with firmware version M225FVXXU4BFD8. It is currently underway in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and is likely to reach more countries in the next few days. Samsung recently rolled out a security update for the Samsung Galaxy A31.

According to a report by SamMobile, the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy M22 comes with firmware version M225FVXXU4BFD8 and the April 2022 Android security patch. It is reportedly available for Galaxy M22 units in Saudi Arabia and UAE with model number SM-M225FV.
What’s new in the latest update
One UI 4.1 offers some exclusive features like the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom skin, RAM Plus feature, Google Duo Live Sharing, smart widgets and better low-light portrait photography. In addition, the update brings smart calendar and some camera tweaks.

How to check if update is found or not
Eligible Samsung Galaxy M22 users will automatically receive the latest update. Still, curious users can check for updates manually by going to Settings-> Software update-> Download and install. Users can update their Samsung smartphones as long as they are connected to a strong Wi-Fi and engaged on charging.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy M22 was launched in select markets in September last year. The handset has not been introduced in India yet.

The storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. The Galaxy M22 packs a quad rear camera setup, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel primary sensor. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
