Popular instant messaging app WhatsApp rolled out the multi-device feature for users a few weeks ago. With the help of this feature, users can keep their WhatsApp account active on laptop or computer even when there is no internet connection in the phone or the phone is turned off. Now the company is going to take this feature to the next level. According to the report of WABetaInfo, the company will soon bring a feature called Link New Mobile Device for the users. After the introduction of this feature, users will be able to run a WhatsApp account on another smartphone as well.

No information has been revealed about when WhatsApp will roll out this feature. However, according to WABetaInfo, this upcoming feature is still in the developing phase and the company can bring it to the users in the coming updates. According to the report, WhatsApp had decided to bring this feature only last year. Till now the company has not given details about this feature, but WABetaInfo has shown a glimpse of it by sharing a screenshot.

According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has now started doing this on a separate section from where users will be able to connect other mobile devices. A section named Register Device as Companion is visible in the screenshot. This option will be visible to the user when they open WhatsApp on any secondary mobile device. With the help of this option, users will be able to access their WhatsApp account on other mobile devices.
QR code has to be scanned
The QR code may need to be scanned to access the WhatsApp account on another mobile device. The special thing is that with the help of this feature, users can also use Android tablet as a secondary device. It is believed that the company can rollout it for beta users in the coming days.
