After launching Redmi 10 last month, Redmi is all set to launch another budget segment smartphone in India next week. The new phone will be known as the Redmi 10A and is likely to be a toned down version of the Redmi 10 that was launched in March this year. The Chinese smartphone maker under Xiaomi’s stable will launch the Redmi 10A in India on April 20. The Redmi 10A is touted to be a ‘desh ka smartphone’, which is largely meant to be affordable for those with an affordable budget.
The Redmi 10A is likely to debut on Amazon India, unlike the Redmi 10 which was launched via Flipkart. Due drop display phone Redmi 10A will have dual rear lens and single selfie camera. LED flash is also available in the phone.
Expected price of Redmi 10A in India
Last week in March, the handset was introduced in the Chinese market with a price tag of CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 8,300) for the base 4GB + 64GB storage variant. There is also a 4GB + 128GB model, which is priced at CNY 799 (approximately Rs 9,500), while the top-end 6GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs 10,700). The Redmi 10A was made in China in Shadow Black, Smoke Blue and Moonlight Silver colors. The Indian variant is also likely to be priced in the same range.
Specifications of Redmi 10A
The Redmi 10A flaunts a 6.53-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) display, which has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and offers a peak brightness of 400 nits. The display has a waterdrop-style notch design. The Redmi 10A is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, along with up to 6GB of RAM.
The phone packs a 13-megapixel single camera sensor at the back along with an LED flash. For selfies and video chats, the Redmi 10A packs a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The phone packs up to 128GB of onboard storage. The Redmi 10A packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports standard 10W charging.
