Soon you will be able to have two phone numbers on one SIM card simultaneously. This is going to happen with the new update of Google. For this, Google will use the technology of e-SIM. Actually, smartphones supporting e-SIM have been present in the market for a long time but this technology could not replace the traditional SIM cards.
One big reason for this is the way it supports dual sim. Actually, when you use more than one SIM profile (more than one phone number) in e-SIM, then only one profile can be activated at a time. But that is going to change with Google’s Android 13 update.

According to Esper’s report, Google is going to implement the Multiple Enabled Profile (MEP) feature in its Android 13 operating system. This technology was patented in 2020 and it allows users to connect two different network providers in one e-SIM. This simply means that in the coming time, if a phone has 2 e-SIM, then users will be able to run 4 SIM simultaneously.

The special thing is that after the introduction of this technology, mobile companies will not need to give combination of two e-SIM or one physical nano SIM and one e-SIM simultaneously. The second special thing is that it is a software best technology, which means that it can be taken advantage of even in old smartphones. The report states that Google is testing MEP support on Pixel hardware.
