iPhone 13 will join the list of iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and iPhone SE in India. According to a recent report, from April, the iPhone 13 will come with a Made in India tag. This is because the manufacturing of iPhone 13 is starting in India. Foxconn manufactures iPhones for Apple here. Foxconn has its manufacturing unit in Chennai which also manufactures Xiaomi and other smartphones. The contract manufacturer was in news recently due to the issue of food poisoning which led to the suspension of manufacturing for weeks.
Apple also put Foxconn on probation for the same incident. But now, reports say that everything is back to normal at Foxconn’s Sriperumbudur plant in Chennai and thus it will start local manufacturing of the iPhone 13 series. Let us tell you that only iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be manufactured in India. The Pro variant will continue to be manufactured in the global market.

What will be the effect on the price?
There are four phones in the iPhone 13 series; Which includes Mini, 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. The local manufacturing of iPhone 13 or any other phone does not make any difference to its actual selling price in India.

The iPhone will continue to sell for Rs 79,900 for 128GB, while the mini version will cost Rs 69,900. The iPhone 13 series was launched in 2021 with the A15 Bionic chip. The Pro variant is expected to feature a triple rear camera set up with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The basic and mini iPhone 13 sports dual rear lenses.
