Google is rolling out Switch to Android app for iOS users who want to transfer their data from iPhone to Android smartphone. The free app is currently available to download on iOS devices through the Apple App Store. With the help of Switch to Android app, users can wirelessly migrate data including photos, videos and contacts from iPhone to Android phone. In addition, the app lets users turn off iMessage to receive text messages on their Android phones. Apple has already introduced a similar app called ‘Move to iOS’ to transfer data from Android device to iPhone. It is listed on Google Play.
App will work in these languages
Google’s Switch to Android app is currently live on the App Store. The free app is available in several languages, including English, Arabic, Dutch, German, English and Spanish, and can be used to import contacts, calendars, photos and videos from iPhone to Android phone without a cable. As mentioned, Google’s latest app lets users turn off iMessage to receive text messages on their Android devices.
Google Switch to Android webpage says it used a single cable to transfer photos and videos stored in iCloud, DRM-free music, non-iTunes music, call logs, alarms, device settings, audio, wallpapers and free apps can go.

For now, this phone will have the facility
Transferring data to and from iPhones using the new app will initially be available for Google Pixel phones, but support for other smartphone brands will be added later.
The app will work on these iOS versions
The App Store listing for Switch to Android shows a 39MB size for the app. iPhone users will need to enable a number of permissions for the Switch to Android app to complete the transfer of data on the Android device. Switch to Android is now available as a free download for iOS users in select regions. The app will require an iPhone running iOS 12.0 or newer, or an iPod Touch running iOS 12.0 or latest.
Apple already offers the Move to iOS app to automatically migrate content from an Android device to an iPhone. The app is capable of transferring contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts and calendars.
