The launch date of Oppo F21 Pro series has finally been revealed, the company is going to launch the phone on April 12. The company has said that the F21 Pro will come in a new Sunset Orange color with an “industry-first” fiberglass-leather design at the back. Oppo has confirmed that there will be two phones in this series. There will be an Oppo F21 Pro and an Oppo Oppo F21 Pro 5G, but whether there will be an Oppo F21 Pro Plus or not is not clear at the moment.
Oppo said that the F21 Pro uses litchi-grain leather for the base material as it provides a soft feel. The material is largely waterproof, which means that even if the phone doesn’t have an IP rating, it will still be able to tolerate splashes of water. This material will be available only in the Sunset Orange color variant, but Oppo will sell another option. It will be sold in the Cosmic Black variant but it uses Oppo’s signature glow technology for a glossy finish on the back. Oppo claims that the back of this color variant is fingerprint- and stain-resistant.
Oppo hasn’t confirmed any specifications of this phone yet, but it has mentioned that the F21 Pro will come in 5G Rainbow Spectrum and Cosmic Black colours. While the F21 Pro 5G Cosmic Black color variant will likely be identical to the F21 Pro’s Cosmic Black variant, there is “a ‘three-layer texture and two-layer coating’ to give the Rainbow Spectrum phone.
Specifications are not clear at the moment, but since these phones are the successors of the F19 and F19 Pro, we can expect them to bring better performance, better cameras and better battery life with fast-charging technology.
To recall, the Oppo F19 Pro last year came with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and top-left punch-hole. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P95 processor. It comes with 4310mAh battery with 30W fast charging, 48MP quad cameras and Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 software. Oppo also launched the F19 Pro Plus with improved specifications, such as 5G, 90Hz display and 50W fast-charging battery.
