The war between Ukraine and Russia continues. There are still many Indians trapped in the midst of the war, which the Indian government is trying to rescue. Meanwhile, strange incidents are coming to the fore. In fact, a student from Kerala stranded in war-torn Ukraine struggled to return with his pet cat and will eventually land in India with his cat.
Akhil Radhakrishnan, 21, had a two-pronged challenge, the first being to get him back from the war-torn Ukraine to his homeland and the second challenge was to get him back safely with his pet cat. Let us inform that Radhakrishnan has been studying in Kharkiv National Medical University for the last two years.
Their pet cat is named Ammini, who was handed over to Akhil by his senior in college four months back and the two have been together ever since. Akhil breathed a sigh of relief, saying, “She is very sweet and I cannot separate from her and I am glad that the Indian Embassy in Ukraine is now allowing me to take her along.”
At present, 21-year-old Akhil Radhakrishnan had reached Budapest, Hungary from Ukraine. They are now returning to India. The special thing is that they are coming to India with their cat ‘Ammini’, due to which they are happy.
The last two weeks have been very difficult for this young student trying to come to Budapest safely. Akhil said, “I boarded the train in a car and reached Kyiv. Then, I took a bus to come to Chop. Taking two more trains, I managed to reach Budapest.”
