Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated the police for the speedy and strict action taken by the police against those committing crimes against women in Indore, Ratlam, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Seoni, Rewa, Singrauli and Shahdol. According to official information, Chouhan was addressing a meeting organized here on Friday to review the work of police and action plan for crime control and police modernization in the next two years. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Secretary Home Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena and other officers were present in the meeting. Presentation was given in the meeting regarding effective action against mafia, strengthening of police station system, women security, scheduled caste and tribe welfare, law and order and anti-Naxal campaign, narcotex, cyber crime and security, police training, welfare activities and selection and recruitment. There will be recruitment in police
The Chief Minister said that the economic back of those who suppress the poor and commit crimes against sisters and daughters will also be broken. Chouhan said that adequate police force is required for vigilance and strictness against criminals. Therefore, 05 thousand police personnel will be recruited in the police force immediately. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that an intensive search operation should be started immediately to identify foreign nationals living illegally in the state. Action should also be taken against the landlords who did not inform the police about the tenant. Chouhan also directed to launch an intensive investigation campaign against illegal arms posses and illegal arms manufacturers. The Chief Minister said that the associates of criminals involved in mafia activities and those who patronize them should be identified and strict action should be taken against them.
Action will be taken against those who spread illegal liquor and fake news
Chouhan directed to take intensive action against illicit liquor at micro level till village-mohalla level. He said that any person found indulging in illegal liquor related activities or patronizing them would be immediately fired from the job, he added. He directed for close monitoring of chit fund companies, unregistered investment firms, multi-level marketing companies and those running money on interest. Chouhan said that a campaign should be launched to compile information at the police station level of those who run money on interest.
The Chief Minister said that in order to disturb the peace and social harmony of the state, arrangements should be ensured to refute misleading information on social media and other publicity mediums. To keep a constant vigil on the misguiding and disruptive organizations of different sections of the society and to immediately counter their propaganda and to ensure effective legal action against them.
