BJP is making history
Let us tell you that the history of four assembly elections held so far in Uttarakhand is two decades old. In the last four elections in Uttarakhand, the Congress and the BJP have been in power alternately, but no party has won the chair for the second time in a row. The Congress formed the government in the 2002 elections and the BJP in 2007. After this, Congress came to power again in 2012 and in 2017 again BJP formed the government in the state. BJP is going to form the government once again in 2022.
There was a tough competition in the exit polls
In many exit polls that came on 7 March, there was a tough fight between the BJP and the Congress. The two major political parties have expressed the possibility of a close contest or a hung assembly. In such a scenario, the role of winning candidates from regional parties like Independents, Aam Aadmi Party, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Uttarakhand Kranti Dal will become crucial in forming the government.
