The Congress party, which is facing defeat in one election after another, is trying to get back the support base by surrounding the government on the issue of inflation. In this episode, from March 31 to April 7, the Congress will run a inflation-free India campaign against the central government across the country. Addressing the press conference, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the Modi government is busy filling its treasury by pauperizing the people. He said that Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi will join the nationwide protest against the ever-increasing inflation and oil prices in the country.
Surjewala said that the government is continuously burning a hole in the pockets of the people by increasing the price of oil. Does the government have the slightest concern for the poor? In the last five days, for the fourth consecutive day, Surjewala made a strong attack on the BJP over the increase in oil prices. He said that BJP is shamelessly looting the public.
On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi also attacked the government for the ever-increasing oil prices. Rahul Gandhi said- The king is preparing to go to the palace while the public is being buried under the burden of inflation. It is worth noting that out of the last five days, oil prices have increased for four days. On Saturday also, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased by 80 paise. On the rising prices of petrol and diesel, the government says that the price of oil is increasing due to the Russo-Ukraine war. After Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has also blamed the Russia-Ukraine war for rising oil prices.
