Hijab Row Verdict: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed displeasure over the Karnataka High Court’s decision on hijab. He said that if tilak and vermilion are allowed in colleges then why not hijab. If religion is not given importance in colleges then why Diwali is celebrated. Owaisi insisted that barring the wearing of the hijab was a violation of constitutional rights.
Speaking to Aaj Tak channel, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Karnataka High Court’s decision on wearing hijab is disappointing. If a girl wants to wear a hijab, then no one has the right to stop her. Owaisi further said that if no religion is given importance in college then why Diwali is celebrated. To stop wearing the hijab is a violation of constitutional rights.
If sindoor is not banned then why hijab?
Owaisi further said that Muslim girls are coming forward for studies today, they are going to schools and colleges. In such a situation, the constitutional rights of Muslim girls cannot be taken away. He further says that if wearing of vermilion, tilak and mangalsutra is allowed in college then why so much controversy is being created over the hijab. If a girl wants to wear hijab then why is she being stopped.
