Virat Kohli love affair with Chinanaswamy continues: Former IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli’s love for the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore was also seen on Saturday when fans applauded him in support of the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka. Kohli had captained the Bangalore team till last season. India won the toss and decided to bat in this Day Night Test. After the dismissal of captain Rohit Sharma, Virat came to the field to bat and the audience present in the stadium started shouting slogans of Kohli-Kohli. However, Kohli was dismissed after scoring 23 runs and the fans were disappointed.
India scored 252 runs in the first innings. After this, even when the team came out to field, the fans started shouting slogans of Kohli-Kohli. Meanwhile, Kohli raised the Indian team’s jersey and showed the red colored jersey which he was wearing inside. This jersey was the same red as the jersey of the Bangalore team. Apart from Kohli, fans were also chanting the name of AB de Villiers, who recently retired from IPL. De Villiers has played for RCB for several seasons.

Talking about the match, a total of 16 wickets fell on the very first day. India has tightened its grip on Sri Lanka on this pitch, which has become a graveyard for the batsmen. The Indian team scored 252 runs in the first innings in this Day-Night Test match (Pink Ball Test) and then pushed Sri Lanka on the back foot on the first day by taking 6 wickets for 86 runs till the stumps on Saturday. Sri Lanka are now 166 runs behind India’s score with only 4 wickets remaining.
