Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will make a statement in Parliament on Tuesday on the incident of unintentional missile firing. Orders have already been given for a high-level inquiry into the incident of the missile that fell in Mian Channu city of Punjab province of Pakistan on March 9. It is a matter of relief that no one died due to the accident.
India had issued a statement regarding the incident saying, ‘On 9 March 2022, during routine maintenance, a technical fault resulted in an accidental firing of the missile. The Government of India has taken this issue seriously and has ordered a High Level Court of Inquiry.
The Indian government had said, ‘It has been learned that the missile landed in an area of Pakistan. While on one hand this incident is extremely regrettable, it is a matter of relief that no one has lost their lives due to the accident.
On the incident of unintentional missile firing by India, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that Pakistan could have responded to India if an Indian missile fell in its Punjab province, but it showed restraint.
