The construction of the world’s tallest (270 feet) Virat Ramayana temple is going to start next month at Kaithwalia in East Champaran district of Bihar. A Muslim man has set an example of communal harmony by giving land worth about 2.5 crore rupees for the construction of the temple. 125 acres of land is required for the construction of the temple, out of which the temple has got 100 acres so far.
On Wednesday, Ishtayaq Mohammad Khan, the landlord of Kaithwalia, donated a plot of 23 kattha (71 decimal) for the construction of the temple. Its cost is said to be around Rs 2.5 crore. Even before this, cooperation has been given by his family in arranging the land required for the temple.
Ishtiaq, who gave land for the temple for free, says live with Hindu-Muslim love. Put your faith in your place and don’t fight for it. Acharya Kishore Kunal, secretary of Patna Mahavir Mandir, says that if Ishtiaq’s family had not given the land, the temple would not have been built.
The construction work of the temple at the proposed site will be under the supervision of experts working in the construction of Parliament building. The help of Ahmedabad-based architect Piyush Sompura and interior designer Navratna Raghuvanshi have been taken to prepare the design of the temple construction. The construction of the temple is planned by 2027.
Highest Shivling in a year
Kishore Kunal, secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust, said that the world’s tallest Shivling will first be installed in the Virat Ramayana temple. This Shivling will be 33 feet high and 33 feet in roundness. For the construction of Shivling, 250 metric tonnes of granite stone has been purchased near Kanyakumari. It has been sent from Kanyakumari to Mahabalipuram with great difficulty to give it the shape of Shivling. The construction of Shivling will be like Sahastratlingam. Meaning one thousand 8 Shivling would have been placed in a Shivling. This type of Shivling was built in the 8th century. This type of Shivling is being constructed after about 1300 years.
