Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has shared very important information regarding those who drive a car, motorcycle, scooter or any other type of vehicle. He recently told that 5 lakh road accidents take place in India every year which is one of the highest in the world.
About 1.5 lakh people die and 3 lakh are seriously injured in these accidents. Gadkari said that it is unfortunate that 70 per cent of the deaths occur in the age group of 18 to 45 years. Road safety is the top priority of our government.

AI-based technology is needed along with the traffic management system to reduce the chances of mistakes. Gadkari said that road safety is a matter of great concern all over the world and it remains a challenge for developing countries like India. Gadkari said that AI-based drones and robotic technology can be used for forensic investigation of these road accidents.

According to Gadkari, the situation of traffic disruption arises from unbalanced demand and supply calculations. In such a situation, with the help of AI based tools, traffic conditions can be accurately investigated, analyzed and predicted. He said that an advanced traffic management system has been installed on Indian highways in which integrated data is collected with the help of electronic sensors and HD cameras.
