Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan seems to be getting a double blow. On the one hand, the opposition is going to bring a no-confidence motion against him in Parliament today, while the government of the country’s largest state, Punjab, is also being seen after the crisis. Opposition parties have demanded the resignation of Punjab CM Usman Buzdar. Not only this, a no-confidence motion against him has also been presented by the opposition. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MP Samiullah Khan said that the joint opposition has also moved a no-confidence motion against Usman Buzdar on Monday.
Punjab is the largest province of Pakistan and is considered important for the formation of the central government. In Punjab, Imran Khan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf party has been in government for three years, but it has only 12 MLAs more than the majority. In such a situation, a crisis situation may arise with the government. Leaders of the opposition claim that they have the support of 20 disgruntled leaders of Imran Khan’s party PTI. In such a situation, the government of PTI in Punjab may fall in a no-confidence motion. This is the reason why the opposition leader Imran Khan is focusing on Punjab apart from the government.
Imran told the rulers before him that they are worthless
Significantly, today a no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan government is going to be presented in the Parliament of Pakistan. Pakistan’s parliament has a total of 342 members, out of which the support of 172 lawmakers is necessary to stay in power. Imran Khan also held a big rally in Islamabad to show his strength before the no-confidence motion. In this, he had said that Imran Khan has not bowed before anyone till date. As long as there is blood in my body, I will not allow my community to bow down before anyone. Imran Khan also targeted those who took power in Pakistan before him. He said that those who took over the power of our country were incompetent and due to this the country was left behind, while India has gone ahead.
