On March 16, Bhagwant Mann will take oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab. Before becoming the ‘boss’, Bhagwant Mann has issued his first decree. Bhagwant Mann has put scissors on the security of VVIPs. Along with this, he has also taken a big decision regarding the security of the ministers of Charanjit Singh Channi government.
According to the orders issued by Bhagwant Mann on Saturday, an order has been given to withdraw the security of Congress and Akali Dal leaders. However, the security already provided to the Badal family, Captain Amarinder Singh and Charanjit Singh Channi on orders of the Union Home Ministry will not be withdrawn.
After the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in the state, on the instructions of Bhagwant Mann, the ADGP has issued an order to all the police chiefs saying that the security of all the former ministers and former MLAs of the state should be withdrawn. Apart from this, a decree has also been issued to withdraw the security of former presidents of different political parties.
It is being said in some media reports that according to the orders issued by the police department, the security of a total of 122 people, including 13 former ministers, a former speaker, a former deputy speaker, has been withdrawn. Among them are many former ministers of the state.
It is being said that the personnel of more than 400 different battalions and commando forces were engaged in the security of these VIPs. Now orders have been issued to withdraw the security of all these with immediate effect.
