Punjab Exit Poll Analysis: The results of the Punjab assembly elections are going to come on March 10, but the post-result situation in the Congress has already started churning. In fact, most of the exit polls have predicted the Congress going out of power and the formation of the AAP government. Due to this the tension of Congress seems to have increased. On Monday, on the day of exit polls, there was silence at the Congress office in Chandigarh. Even leaders like Manish Tewari are already busy blaming Navjot Singh Sidhu. Even though the central leadership has said to wait till the results are out, but the state unit is already in the mood for head-football.
On one hand, CM Charanjit Singh Channi met Home Minister Amit Shah in the midst of exit polls on Monday, while Sidhu was busy with the membership drive in the state office. It is being said that Navjot Singh Sidhu himself is seen trapped in his own seat. Apart from this, many leaders have questioned his working style and he is being held responsible for the defeat. It is clear that preparations are being made to break the entire blame of the defeat on Sidhu’s head in a way.
Congress will promote Channi even after defeat in Punjab
Sources say that in the past, a meeting of the top leadership was held regarding Punjab. In this, two issues were discussed that even if the Congress loses in Punjab, Channi will be retained as the main face. The reason for this is that being a Dalit leader, the party wants to take advantage of him in all the states including UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh. Actually BJP is trying to get Dalit vote bank in these states. It is clear that in this strategy, Charanjit Singh Channi seems to be making a place.
Will Congress put Sidhu on the sidelines after the defeat?
Now talking about Sidhu, the party had evicted Captain Amarinder Singh by putting him forward. But the way his feud with Channi continued after that, it has also raised concerns. In such a situation, he will be able to get some important responsibility from the party, it is possible in this matter. It is said about Sidhu that he does not belong to any camp and he is different. In such a situation, leaders like Channi to Manish Tewari and Ravneet Bittu are also against him. This is the reason why Navjot Singh Sidhu can be the easiest victim to break the blame in the event of Congress defeat.
