People around the world are praying for Ukraine. No solution has been found for this war even on the tenth day of the Russian attack. However, many countries of the West are mobilizing against Russia’s attack and are continuously imposing sanctions. Meanwhile, now the citizens of Russia are also taking to the streets in support of Ukraine. People from all over Russia, including the city of St. Petersburg, are joining the demonstration against the Russian attack. Some of them have been arrested by the authorities.
Actually, people from all over the world have come out in support of Ukraine. The Guardian posted a video showing an elderly woman named Osipova being arrested by police forces when she arrived to take part in a demonstration in St Petersburg. The people standing beside Osipova were applauding her. Protesters criticized Russia for the attack on Ukraine and called for the war to end as soon as possible.
According to reports, an attempt has also been made by the police to stop the demonstration in support of Ukraine in Russia. The demonstration in St Petersburg is a part of this episode, in which an elderly protesting woman has been arrested by the police. There were also some posters and banners with the woman, in which something was written.
Apart from this, there are demonstrations against Russia in other countries. In Japan’s capital Tokyo, people are taking to the streets to protest against the bombings in the cities of Ukraine and are protesting against the attacks of Russia. A female protestor present in Japan said that I am Russian and oppose this war. On the other hand, looking at the pictures from France, thousands of people have come out in support of Ukraine, they told that we stand with Ukraine. The people of France are demanding that Russia withdraw and end the war.
On the other hand, pictures of devastation are continuously coming out from many cities of Ukraine and for this reason people are opposing this war. Putin is constantly being criticized and opposed all over the world, despite this, Putin is not ready to bow down. Currently, Russia has captured several cities in Ukraine, including Kherson and Mariupol.
