The Russian army continues to attack various cities of Ukraine. Vadim Boichenko, the mayor of Ukraine’s southern city of Mariupol, said the city had no electricity for five days and had no water left. They also said they were unable to recover the bodies of the dead while air strikes continued in the city for the sixth day in a row.
Boichenko said the situation was very complex and the Russian military had already blocked the humanitarian corridor. “We have a lot of social problems that all Russians have created,” he said in an interview on a YouTube channel. Moryupol, with a population of about 400,000, has been without electricity for five days. All our thermal substations are dependent on electricity supply. We don’t have any arrangement for summer.”

‘Want to separate us from the human corridor’
The mayor also said that no mobile network is working. Boichenko accused the Russian army of besieging the city and creating a blockade cutting off the city from the humanitarian corridor. “They want to separate us from the humanitarian corridor. They are stopping the delivery of essential goods, medical supplies, even baby food. Their target is to bring the city to its knees,” he said.
‘Injured-death figures getting worse’
Boichenko further said that the number of injured and dead has increased by thousands in the past few days. The figures are only getting worse. They said they say they want to save Ukrainians from being killed by the Ukrainian (state), but they are killing themselves. The Mayor also praised the brave doctors who saved lives in the city for the last 10 days. They live and sleep with their families in our hospitals, he said.
