Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on Wednesday. It is reported that the names of two children of Mann living in America – Dilshan Mann and Seerat Kaur Mann are also included in this program. The special thing is that in this swearing-in ceremony of AAP, only party leaders, MLAs and those close to Mann have been called. AAP had registered a landslide victory in 92 seats in the Punjab Assembly elections.
According to the Indian Express, 21-year-old Seerat and 17-year-old Dilshan have reached India to attend the swearing-in ceremony of their father. Mann’s ex-wife Inderpreet Kaur has confirmed this. After winning the Punjab elections, Kaur had said, “Both of our children have reached India and they will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant at Khatkar Kalan.” They are very excited. Kaur said that she had given a ‘positive’ response to Mann becoming the Punjab CM. She says that Mann is always in her prayers and always will be.
Wife said – did not say anything wrong about Bhagwant Mann behind his back
Talking to the newspaper, he said, ‘I have always worked very hard for his success, but never said anything wrong from my side behind his back. Over the years he has always been in prayers and always will be. Yes, there are distances, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t praying for their progress. I was here in America busy with my work and children’s education.
Bhagwant Mann got divorced from his wife in 2015
Mann and Kaur separated in 2015, after which Kaur settled in the US with the children. The special thing is that during the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2014, Kaur sweated profusely in the campaign of Mann. He campaigned fiercely in the villages of Sangrur.
His mother Harpal Kaur and sister Harpreet Kaur have been expressing happiness since Mann’s victory and the announcement of the chief minister’s face. However, many times Mann himself has admitted that even though the whole of Punjab is his family, he feels sad when he sees the empty house on his return from work. He has also expressed his love for his children many times through social media posts.
During the divorce, Mann told Punjab his family
During the divorce process, Mann claimed that he had ‘chosen the family of Punjab over his own.’ According to the newspaper, he had said about the divorce, ‘Jo latkeyan si chira to o haal ho gaya, court ch eh decision yesterday happened… Ek pase si family, two pase si family… main ta yaaran punjab de wal ho Gone.’
