Actually, this seat comes in the hometown of farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and is considered to be his stronghold. It is known that Rakesh Tikait criticizes the BJP government a lot.
In this election, Tikait had sought votes against the BJP. According to the official website of the Election Commission, Vikram Singh of BJP got 100651 votes in Khatauli assembly seat, while Rajpal Singh Saini of SP-RJD alliance, who came second, got only 84306 votes.
